Clippings that would have otherwise gone to waste are cleaned and cut into fine fibers. When combined with water, the pulp is carefully spread by hand across boxed screens causing the fibers to interlock and forming an exceptionally strong and cohesive paper. The individual sheets are pressed together to expel the water and then hung to dry individually. Once dry, the paper sheets are rolled by hand through giant rollers of the calender machine where the natural bumps associated with handmade paper are gently smoothed.
