Attach a line to a rod and that’s it. There is no reel. Keiryu means “mountain stream” in Japanese. Keiryu rods have been used by generations of Japanese anglers, in streams and rivers, as the simplest and most effective way to catch trout & other fish as a matter of basic survival. Keiryu uses a long telescopic rod (standard rod is approximately 18 ft.), no reel, and a light line. They are fast action rods (strong backbone with flexible tips) meaning they excel at producing DRAG FREE drifts and are incredibly effective for subsurface fishing – achieving successful strikes in deeper runs and pocket water. THE T100 rod is 5.4 meters (17.7ft.). It is a well balanced medium action and medium stiffness rod that can catch trout (up to 5 lbs) in rivers, streams, and lakes. The T100 is perfect for nymphing (espeically using Euro style jig nymphs) or with any weighted presentation (artificials, bait, etc.).
