" In an increasingly polarized world Kids These Days is an invitation to recover the spirit of interconnectedness that dwells in each of us, and a reminder that we are better together." "An essential classroom read- 'Kids These Days' sparks meaningful conversations about kindness, diversity, and self worth." "This book is an anthem for today's generation. Uplifting, empowering, and exactly what our kids need right now." "A celebration of differences, togetherness, and love." For thousands of years we have been arguing that kids these days are less respectful, less hardworking, and are in general lacking in comparison to past generations despite ample evidence to the contrary. Research shows that our youngest generations are more socially and environmentally justice oriented than any generation that has come before them. They are instinctively aware of their own self worth, and the inherent worth of others. They are in tune with the strengths and limitations of their own minds and bodies, and intentional about finding a balance between work and play. They are brave and willing to try new things in the midst of a rapidly changing world, in order to make that same world a better place. The kids and young adults that I encounter on a regular basis continually inspire me and I believe we would do well to be the generation that starts to use the term “kids these days” as a commendation instead of a pejorative. This book is my contribution to that end. - Amanda Kelly Lindbjerg
