Actors will adore this collection of early 18th century Restoration monologues that unabashedly gives voice to the bawdy sexual and social mores of that time period. Kiss and Tell is a volume of comic and romantic monologues from plays by Behn, Wycherly, Centlivre, Etherege, Dryden, Vanbrugh, and others. This collection of monologues was performed at the Eighth Annual Classics in Context Festival at the Actors Theatre of Louisville in October, 1992. The Classics in Context Festival is a month-long multi-disciplinary event that revitalizes dramatic literature's masterworks for today's audiences by examining the social, political, and aesthetic influences surrounding the creation of the play.
