She and her sister convinced their dad to transform their home into a kitten haven. Then the family joined Give Me Shelter Project, took in 7-litters with a total of 24 kittens, including many feral, shy kittens who needed help socializing to humans. During the process, the pandemic occurred and lockdown and fully remote learning was instituted. The family dealt with ordinary kitten ailments–pink eye, worms, infections, injuries–and a near fatal disease. From managing cuddles to scratches, food to injections, it was an adventure.
