Klifex Oil Separator Membrane Compatible with Porsche Cayenne 4.8L M48.51 94810723653, 94810723652. Diaphragm diameter: 85mm
Please note that this diaphragm is not suitable for M48.01 motors (if your oil separator has 1 outlets for the crankcase ventilation pipe, then you have an M48.01 motor).
Over time, the Porsche oil separator membrane dries up and breaks. A damaged cayenne oil separator diaphragm enters the engine, which is not accounted for by the MAF. As a result, the engine runs unstable at idle, does not start well, and misfires are possible. At the same time, dust from the road enters the engine, which increases the wear of parts and mechanisms. If a whistle is heard, in the area where the Porsche oil separator is located, then the membrane is torn. The manufacturer sells only the assembled cayenne oil separator, which costs about 250 usd. We manufacture and sell Porsche oil separator membrane separately!
Repair Recommendations
1. Carefully remove the cover that protects the membrane using a flat screwdriver or a utility knife;
2. Remove the damaged (torn) membrane;
3. Clean everything from oil and dirt;
4. Install the new membrane. Do not forget about the spring and the insert under the spring (if provided by the design);
5. Carefully snap the cover back into place. Make sure the membrane remains in its proper position and is not damaged by the cover during snapping.
