Please note that this diaphragm is not suitable for M48.01 motors (if your oil separator has 1 outlets for the crankcase ventilation pipe, then you have an M48.01 motor).

Over time, the Porsche oil separator membrane dries up and breaks. A damaged cayenne oil separator diaphragm enters the engine, which is not accounted for by the MAF. As a result, the engine runs unstable at idle, does not start well, and misfires are possible. Repair Recommendations

1. Carefully remove the cover that protects the membrane using a flat screwdriver or a utility knife;

2. Remove the damaged (torn) membrane;

3. Clean everything from oil and dirt;

4. Install the new membrane. Do not forget about the spring and the insert under the spring (if provided by the design);

5. Carefully snap the cover back into place. Make sure the membrane remains in its proper position and is not damaged by the cover during snapping.
