STEP 3: Select your custom size. For inside mount give us the exact inside opening size(Window and trim) to the 1/8th of an inch and we will take a 3/8 deduction.you need at least 1-3/4"depth for inside mount. For an outside mount,pls add 3-5inch extra buffer for width and length so it fully cover the window and trim. STEP 4: Select the Stack position, we provided 3 options,inlude Stacked on the right side, Stacked on the left side or Open to both sides. STEP 5: Choose the 4 panels or 6 panels. If this is large window or door,we suggest you select 6 panels. SETP6: Choose the Valance or No Valance, STEP 7: Add to chart. MOUNT TYPES:
Inside mounted blinds require a minimum frame depth of 2.5" for secure installation. If your window frame depth is less than 2.5" please select outside mount. Outside mounts are often used when there is not sufficient frame depth for inside mounting.
INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT:
Step 1.Measure the inside frame width at three locations-the top,middle,and bottom. Record the smallest of the 3 measurements and use that number as your inside width when ordering.
Step 2. Measure the height at 3 locations-the left,middle,and right side. Record the smallest of the 3 measurements and use that number as your inside height when ordering.
OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT:
Step 1. Measure the outside frame width adding 8" to be the outside mount width.
Step 2. If your window is french window, measure from 2.4" above the top window frame to the place 0.4" above the ground. If your window is windowsill window, measure from 2.4" above the top window frame to the place 4 " below the bottom window frame. The overlap it recommended to allow appropriate coverage and avoid any light gaps.
