This follow-up series of lectures expand upon the "Lectures on Faith" written by Joseph Smith, Jr. that are published in the 1835 book of ”Doctrine and Covenants." Covering the topic of repentance, these lectures follow the same format as that seminal work. In this series, repentance comes to light as the reverse principle to faith, propelling the believer back onto the pathway towards salvation after wallowing in sin and ignorance. This book avoids detailing the minutia of individual sins and transgressions and instead outlines the spirit and intent of the law and commandments of God. The central thesis of the book outlines how keeping God’s commandments becomes an expression of one’s belief in God’s character and attributes, as outlined in the “Lectures on Faith,” tying the “Lectures on Repentance” to the central thesis of that work.
