From our earliest tribes and civilizations, we have told each other stories. Stories to explain the things we could not, stories to teach codes of behavior, stories to pass the long, cold hours of the night while waiting for the sun's blazing return. Myths and legends, fairytales and folklore, they have been woven into the very fabric of our culture and their effects can still be seen in various forms of modern media. "Legends," in keeping with that tradition, is a collection of short stories all taking place in modern day but heavily influenced by millennia of story-telling. These stories reference figures from a variety of ancient Pantheons, Judeo-Christian traditions, and even some of our more modern myths as we continue to gaze at the stars and wonder. They do not all have happy endings, but such is life. There is still plenty of entertainment to be had, lessons to learn, and questions to ponder.
