Gardeners have expressed the need for a BEGINNERS ' handbook to create Kentucky native landscapes at home. The authors have spent 13 years doing just that, creating formal and informal spaces with regionally native trees, shrubs, wildflowers and ferns via sunny rain gardens, dry shade, and wet/dry meadows and prairies. The book includes stunning photos, plants lists and information to guide plant selection and placement. This is NOT a botany book. It is intended for those who are interested, but have no idea how to start. The authors began their project in just that state of mind, and so are well able to teach and inspire others.
