The narrative, loosely inspired by real events, winds its way at the pace of a metaphorical journey undertaken during the lock-down. It moves on between contemporary reality and digressions in the past. Main characters are Carolina, single mother and freelance professional expatriated in Brussels, and her son Arturo. The two find themselves caught in a never-ending odyssey, through events on the edge of the absurd caused by the presence of male and unreliable babysitters Unfortunately, quite rare are the worthy collaborators. During the seclusion due to the coronavirus, Carolina experiences a paradoxical relief, freeing herself from those destabilising characters. In that limbo, far away from the chaos of everyday life, the woman consciously starts to tidy up her life, thanks to the close encounter with her own self. She empathies with her rebel son, trying to recuperate the now lost complicity and dialogue, even if conscious of the difficulties in interacting with him. Carolina heads confident towards her future, with cautious optimism and a ‘pandemic desire to do things’. She has no intention to always rush and make mistakes again, something to avoid entirely for her future.
