LIBERTY SHRUGGED is an unconventional and stunning look into the history of the United States Republic. It begins with an analysis of the social contract, the agreement we make to live together in civil society according to certain moral rules of conduct. When entering into this agreement certain alienable rights are traded for the protections of unalienable rights that are expressions of civil liberties and natural law. Within our communities we then grant civil rights. We will address our Rights to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, which includes the fruits of our labor. Next is addressed the confusing and complex fallacies, assumptions, lies, and misinformation about America that are propagated by media, universities, politicians, and the like with intentions to undermine the rule of law and the liberties of all men. You will learn the basic principles of civics, natural law, and the order and function of a Republic if the same is to be preserved against the dangers of excess democracy - mob rule. You will learn how a bicameral legislature is intended to bring balance and equality between the rights of citizens, States, and the Federal government, and how the three-fifths compromise was agreed upon to prevent slaveowners and proponents of racial superiority, who reduced slaves to chattel, from counting their property as people to determine representation that would be used to expand slavery. If the Constitution intended to totally demean African Americans and reduce them to despotism, then why even recognize what was considered property in the first place? For if all of the so-called rich, white, land and slave owning men of some bygone age did intend to preserve such a thing it would have been enshrined in those Founding documents that “all white men are created equal” and “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights…” This is actually provable when considering the Confederate Constitution of 1861, which guaranteed the preservation of “negro slavery.” The book will further explore in detail: the history and dangers of Communism; the real cause(s) of the American Revolution (1775-1783); what sparked the American Civil War (1861-1865); how white people, alongside black people, worked to abolish slavery and fight for equal protections, pay, and suffrage for slaves and former slaves alike - some of these same people advocated for reparations by creating a special Freedmen’s Bureau; how few whites owned slaves, even if others supported the institution, and that many free blacks owned slaves or ran their own businesses; how women fought in the American Revolution and voted in the 18th and 19th century, despite a woman’s role outside of a ballot box being as institutional as a man’s role in the legislature and on the battlefield; how Native Americans played a role in countless conflicts both for and against the founding of the United States; how African Americans and Native Americans have been reduced to political caricatures in the name of social justice by modern day adherents of KKK-like ideology; how whites and blacks were lynched and terrorized for exercising their rights and attempting to take power from the proslavery Democratic party. At this point it becomes necessary to address the big switch between the latter and the Republican party. What matters more than logos and colors are the policies and racial politics inclined to reduce all men to a state of slavery on a modern political plantation. From 1619 to 1776, and from the 1860s until the present time, the United States of America has been and remains a beacon of liberty to humanity’s past, present, and future. Liberty is to be preserved only through effective Republican government, decentralization, fiduciary relationships between people and their representatives, an informed, educated, and moral citizenry, and a willingness to exercise Natural Rights in the face of tyranny in order to preserve the rule of law.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
