Life Lessons for Seed is a tale about growing up as a real moose in Rocky Mountain National Park. Some of the same challenges Little Seed has to deal with face humans as well. Life lessons are important for all creatures, and the humor in this tale will make both children and adults smile as they learn. Though the dialogue is fictional the story is truly based on a “family” of moose that the author has come to “know” since 2020. Have you ever met a moose? Looking at these amazing photographs and reading this sweet conversation between a mother and her calf will make you think you have. You may, also, be surprised at how endearing an animal as awkwardly huge as a moose can be. If you are curious about these creatures, which most people will never see, this story will give insight into their lives. The photos of baby moose, and other animals, are remarkable in themselves. The story, and its lovable characters, Little Seed & his Mom, Poppy, may make you want to visit the National Park, where these two moose actually live. Within the enjoyable context of the story, the author incorporates most every fact about moose she has been asked during the 10 years she has been photographing them. She regrets that she forgot to include that moose generally weigh around 25 pounds when they are born.
