Saint Stephen Harding (1066 – 1134 A.D.) was born in Dorset, England. He is a Saint of the Church, and one of the founders of the Cistercian Order (named after the Latin name for Citeaux). He was the third abbott of Citeaux in Eastern France, and served for 25 years. His feast day is on April 17th.
