Lighting The Way Back is a testimony of Resilience and Faith. Terrence Bast had his life changed in the blink of an eye because of the negligence he encountered while on the job in St. Louis, Missouri. As a master electrician for over 30 years, he knows full well what it means to have faulty wiring and receive the shock of your life . A brain injury that could have been avoided and properly treated, turned into a roller coaster of pain, deterioration, and loss on every level. Although his life spiraled, Bast knew he had to create his own path and find a new light to see his way through his darkest hour. Terrence Bast is using this experience to educate, encourage, and empower all those that are living with a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). Terrence is intimate with the erasure that happens within the health care system due to lack of medical advocacy and he is currently fighting single handily for the justice he deserves due to negligence by his former employer. Despite the hardships, Bast is strengthened by the light he can see and wants others to know that there is hope and that he is here to support their journey along the way.
