Have you ever wondered why we need to be taught how to live godly lives even with the presence of the Holy Spirit within us? It’s a fascinating thought. It isn’t the only way to live, but it’s by far the most excellent. There are standards in every single arena of life. From educational, engineering, and medical standards to the United States Department of Agriculture and beyond, high standards are demanded. Standards are the acceptable marks of quality and qualifications. Just as there are standards for practically everything else, there are also standards for Christians. Every Believer, not just Christian leaders, should be held to high standards because the Word of God applies to everyone. Living the Higher Life is living to a higher standard. In simple terms, the Higher Life is desiring, aspiring, reaching, and striving for a better relationship with God. Wherever you are in the Christian journey, it’s time to go higher.
