Love Fate and Afghanistan is a memoir of driving from London to India and back in 1971. In the course of the trip I fell in love and married my passenger, Alyson. In addition I revisited Afghanistan as a tourist in October 2009 and offer some comments on what is going on there, with a strong recommendation that the US exit asap. Tony Thomson is an American, born 10/2042. He has a Yale BA, Oxford University MA and Stanford Business School MBA. Tony spent three years in the US Army as an ordinary soldier, including 1966 in Vietnam. In business, Tony was a fund manger, specialising in emerging markets from Finland to Malaysia.
