In the Greenest of American Cities, the Blood of Vengeance Still Runs Red. 1972. While the violence rages in Northern Ireland, Boston is getting ready for another St. Patrick’s Day. The bars are packed, and people have come from all over to see the parade. The celebrations are clouded by the brutal murders of several young women in less than two weeks. Everyone fears a serial killer, but Detective Jody Brae is more troubled that none of the victims can be identified. The case is stalled until Brae meets some men who say they know who the killer is. But their reason for being in Boston is almost as shocking as the killings themselves. With the public in a panic, Brae has to decide whether to accept their help, a choice that could jeopardize his job, his reputation, and his life.
