The author introduces the reader to the conflict right off the bat: "Stress settled around my shoulders like a heavy cloak. The bass from the stereo speakers next door pounded throughout the house, keeping time with my pulsating blood pressure." The conflict moves pretty fast and the reader is keen to discover what happens to the compelling characters. Linda Bello-Ruiz writes with moving simplicity and captures emotions that readers can easily identify with. Her characters are well-developed and they arrest the attention of readers immediately. Love Thy Neighbor: A Precarious Endeavor is a story that is as inspiring as it is fast-paced, and featuring unforgettable characters. From the excellent prose to the deftly written plot, this is every bit an entertaining read."
