MAX CLR THIXO is a thickened version of the MAX CLR resin system that provides reduce sagging or flow when applied on a vertical surface. The mixture is 'gel-like' in consistency, thus leaving a thicker applied coating with fewer resin run-offs and drips. Once mixed, MAX CLR THIXO is brush applied onto the prepared surface and allowed to cure overnight or until dry to the touch.
Apply more coats if needed and allow the final coat to cure for a minimum of 48 hours at 75°F. Rinse with warm water, and the cured MAX CLR THIXO Is safe for direct food contact. MAX CLR THIXO creates a sanitizable coating that demonstrates no chemical leaching of its chemical constituents during direct food contact. MAX CLR THIXO is used to seal porous substrates like wood, pottery, and concrete. The cured coating blocks the absorption of foodstuffs, liquid beverages, or organic compounds into the substrate. The cured coating also prevents staining from oils and vinegar, and wine. MAX CLR THIXO bonds to stainless steel, wood, ceramics, and pottery. Upon curing, the coated surface is dishwasher-safe.
