The Air Force Meritorious Unit Award Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. The unit must display such outstanding devotion and superior performance of exceptionally difficult tasks so as to set it above and apart from other units with similar missions. Ready to be worn on official uniforms and subsequent awards can have bronze and silver oak leaf cluster devices on the uniform. Instituted in 2004 for and comes in a color pattern of red, white, and blue stripes. Air Force Meritorious Unit Award Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
