The book titled MOONSHINE JOHNNY TELEPORT consists of three different stories. Each under one of the three titles. MOONSHINE In the year 1919, two teenage boys in the state of Georgia lived on a small rundown farm and survived on what moonshine the local people would purchase from them. Their father, a mean worthless drunk was of little help in any respect and their mother had recently run off with a traveling salesman. The prohibition legislation would become effective the following year and the two boys had to adapt to the situation. Although never having attended school they were taught well by their mother, but they had no other skills besides moonshining. The large cities were stocking up on alcohol of any type and the boys made arrangements to take advantage of the situation. One thing led to another and with ingenuity they eventually ended up in Chicago selling a large quantity of moonshine and became involved with a Chicago mob figure. Their stay continued well after prohibition came into effect and then they became stockbrokers, selling to mob figures, which worked out well for years until the stock market crash of 1929 and the mobsters lost all of their money in the stock market. JOHNNY This story depicts a small period of time in the life of children on poor family farms during the period 1910 to 1917. There were many children in different locations in America, but their lifestyle was remarkably the same as thousands of other farm children at that time. The intent of the story is convey the message that there were millions of children with individual personalities, emotions and personal experiences that lived in this country and they are not to be lost to the wall we call the past. We older people of today can give these children life and personalities again by remembering what was told of them by our parents and grandparents. If we cannot know the personalities and experiences of these children of the past, we at least should have heard enough about that time period from our familiy for us to at least imagine how their life must have been. TELEPORT This story TELEPORT takes place in the not too distant future and it simply involves an unexpected event beyond what was technologically possible at the time of the event. The event being the transport of a physical object from one place to another. Because there was no knowledge of how it was performed, the event was studied and then utilized as a secret weapon against dangerous enemies and of course it got out of control.
