Introducing "Magical Melodies: A Young Beginner’s Guide to Learning Violin” by Iris Lu, a self-teachable guide for young beginners looking to learn the violin. This book is written as part of the non-profit organization, iCrescendo, whose mission is to provide underserved students worldwide with access to quality musical education, fostering a love for music while inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential. iCrescendo is honored to officially partner with the National Conservatoire of Kenya and sponsor young students' learning of music. Just as the term "crescendo" refers to a gradual increase in musical volume and intensity, so too, iCrescendo strives to inspire the growth and development of students' musical skills so they can reach their personal best. Through an interactive curriculum, dynamic lessons offered in person and online, and partnerships with local and global organizations, iCrescendo provides inclusive and adaptable musical instruction tailored to each child's unique learning style and circumstances. All proceeds from the book go towards supporting iCrescendo's mission. With a buildable curriculum, this workbook offers a step-by-step guide for beginners to advanced learners, making it an excellent resource for those who want to progress at their own pace. The workbook covers essential topics such as the basics of holding the violin, reading sheet music, and playing simple tunes. Each lesson is thoughtfully crafted, making it easy for young beginners to follow and learn. And with iCrescendo's online resources, including dynamic lessons and partnerships with global organizations, students can receive further support to enhance their musical skills. Iris Lu has been studying the violin for more than a decade, receiving guidance from esteemed instructors including Bruce Dukov, and she is currently working on releasing singles on various musical platforms. Iris was born and raised in California, but her violin has been her passport to the globe. Iris Lu has had the privilege of performing at several prestigious venues, including the Musikverein or Golden Hall in Vienna, Austria, and the Pantheon in Rome. She eagerly anticipates honing her musical abilities with Bruce Dukov's STRAD Course. Iris is honored to work on projects supported by the European Union, and she is committed to promoting access to quality music education, locally and abroad. She hopes that this workbook, along with the rest of the iCrescendo curriculum, will inspire a lifelong love of music in her students, as it has for her. Ultimately, iCrescendo's goal is to empower children to develop their creativity and confidence and to connect with others through the transformative power of music. The organization hopes that iCrescendo will inspire a lifelong love of music in its students, and that they will continue to share their talents and passion for music with their communities and beyond.
