God wants to be in everything that has to do with our lives, yet we learn how to separate God from the rest of life early in our spiritual development. But no attitude, no activity, and no element of our lives should be without a faith-infused, God-led foundation. There is a godly basis for everything you do posting online, relating to your boss, submitting to your teacher, honoring your mom and dad, performing on your job, and appropriating your talent and money. Making room for God means giving Him unrestricted space to operate in and through your life. It s the time, energy, and identity you allow Him to use, challenge, and redeem in you so that you can make a difference in the world. Truly making room for God extends into every crack and fold of your life. In his first book, author Jonathan McReynolds draws on the testimony of Scripture and of personal experience to appeal to readers to make room for God in every area of life public or private, mental or spiritual to experience the fullness that can come only through an authentic relationship with God. In every chapter, he enlightens marginal and seasoned believers alike about the ways that we shut God out. More important, McReynolds offers honest, practical advice on how to make room for Him every day and in every way. Jonathan was born on the Southside of Chicago in 1989, but the 2010 phenomenon that was birthed in his college dorm room amid a few friends has graduated to Christian music s biggest stage picking up fans like Stevie Wonder, Lalah Hathaway, Kirk Franklin, CeCe Winans, Nicki Minaj, and Tori Kelly along the way. And Jonathan did it with an incredible voice and a beautifully honest approach to songwriting. That honesty is now recorded in print. His latest full-length album, Make Room, debuted number one on Billboard Gospel (and regained the number one spot months later), and garnered an unprecedented 1.3 million streams in the first week. The album is hailed as his best work, the best album of 2018, and an instant Grammy® favorite. From this album, Jonathan earned his first number one single Not Lucky, I m Loved. His second album, Life Music: Stage Two, features superstar fan India. Arie, and remained number one on the Billboard Gospel chart for four weeks. Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Music degree at Columbia College, and in May 2015, he received a Master of Arts degree in biblical studies from Moody Theological Seminary. His contribution to society beyond the music industry is extremely important to him. Jonathan is an adjunct professor at Columbia College and an official contributor to Huffington Post. In 2016, he founded Elihu Nation, a nonprofit organization that promotes wisdom, and has awarded at least $10,000 in scholarships annually. In the summer of 2018, he fulfilled a childhood dream of being inducted into Mensa, the world s largest and oldest high IQ society.
