Katie's fascination with bears began during a childhood camping trip in northern California, where two bears destroyed their campsite in search of food. Her fear of bears has since faded, but she keeps a safe distance when encountering them in the wild. Mireille Belajonas is an award-winning illustrator whose love for detail is reflected in her watercolors and acrylics, whether depicting botanicals or whimsical fairytales.
