Nahum Stutchkoff's program "Mame-loshn" aired Sunday afternoons on the "Forverts" radio station WEVD in New York in the late 1940s and early 1950s. In "Mame-loshn" he made accessible to the broad public the great riches of Yiddish phraseology included in his Thesaurus of the Yiddish Language. Stutchkoff is ever entertaining and informative, a wonderful resource for advanced students and all those who wish to deepen their knowledge of the language. Nahum Stutchkoff was a Yiddish lexicographer and well-known radio personality. Besides his Yiddish Thesaurus, Stutchkoff also authored a Thesaurus of the Hebrew Language and a Yiddish Rhyming Lexicon (Gramen-leksikon). His most famous radio programs include "Around the Family Table" (Ba tate-mames tish) in the 1930s and "People with Troubles" (Tsores ba laytn) in the 1940s and 1950s.
