Author and illustrator, Jeremy Brooks, love for animals started at a very young age and desires to raise awareness regarding conservation efforts. This book is the second published in his coloring book series where he combines his talents of art and writing with his research abilities. Each illustration is paired with educational and interesting information for each species. Jeremy does not claim to be an animal expert; however, he has strong research skills and reports recorded information to the best of his ability. At the back of the book, he gives credit where credit is due reporting his findings in a concise bibliography. Jeremy has had the gift of drawing since the age of six. He earned his bachelor’s degree in graphic design with a concentration in illustration and a minor in writing. Jeremy published his first book in this coloring book series in 2020 “Dinosauria and Prehistoric Animalia” receiving recognition for the 2021 National Indie Excellence Award “Finalist” in the adult coloring book category. Jeremy lives on the autism spectrum and is the subject of the documentary film “JJ’s Journey, A Journey About Autism” premiering in 2008, and is the illustrator for his mom’s award-winning book, “Myself, My Responsibility – tools to self-advocate” published in 2018. Jeremy is committed to paying it forward to an organization that supported his mom during a difficult time.
