This story is centered upon one man who enlisted in the Marine Corps and never looked back. John Davis, a young rancher from Wyoming, became a highly skilled sniper and worked with his close friend Jimmy Bruner throughout the Korean conflict. They continued their friendship after leaving active duty and in the Marine Corps Reserve. Walk with me as I try to convey what it might have been like to endure the hardships of Korea, come home and get married, build a ranch, and deal with what life deals out.
