Mason Greene returns home from the war, but people see his episodes and want to have him committed to a mental hospital. However, no matter how hard he tries, he can't stop being drawn back into the fighting in his mind. He flees to Colorado and secludes himself on a farm, providing for himself and never venturing out. That all changes, however, when he discovers an exhausted woman collapsed on his property. She’s endured a tragedy of her own, but he never thought rescuing her would change his life in so many ways.
