Meloni’s Prayer is about two well-intentioned people that get detoured as they try to navigate their way through life. It is a roller coaster ride that is comical for the most part, until it isn’t. Love and crime have a lot of similarities; someone is always going to get hurt. It is one of life’s unwritten rules. My mother once told me where you live is a reflection of who you are. Meloni and Leslie Sloan chose to live in Las Vegas, Nevada, where the streets are paved with gold for a few. There are lots of legal ways to make money in Las Vegas. There are also a lot of ways to make money illegally. I hope you do not engage in the latter like Leslie Dale Sloan. Meloni’s name is pronounced Melanie. The spelling of Meloni’s name is unique, and so is the story. Leslie goes by his middle name Dale for the most part. My story starts in Kansas which is a part of the fiction. With a bit of due diligence, it is quite easy to find the truth in this story. All fiction has some truth to it. The Catholic Church also has a major role in this story, and my life. Please have no misgivings. The Catholic Church is like Noah’s Ark, it is a well-built ship that will get you to your destination, but it may get kind of stinky along the way.
