This is the true story of nine young boys and their experiences over three years at a week long summer camp each year. Hosted by their uncle and aunt and managed by their grandparents and parents they explored nature, visited historic and interesting sites in the coastal South Carolina low country, learned various skills and developed close friendships. Amazingly, they all became Boy Scouts and earned their Eagle Badge, a feat that only four percent of all Scouts achieve. All of them graduated from college or are on the path to doing so. The two oldest are now active duty Marine and Army officers. Two others will become Marine and Navy officers in 2026. Another is a talented musician and songwriter with a number of recorded and published songs. These young men attended well-known schools such as Princeton, the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wofford College. One will graduate from the United States Naval Academy. Another graduated from Belmont University, a well-known music school in Nashville. They are each on their way to becoming successful adults.
