This book is a photo essay documenting the experience of living in a suburb in the shadows of New York City through a mix of landscape, street and architecture photographs. All shot on 35mm film. As humans we love to tell ourselves things that make the world around us make sense, and find comfort in what is familiar. In the pages of this book I can recall the moments the images were taken, but what are disconnected moments of my life have been arranged to loosely to tell a different story altogether. A story that is not any one person's reality, but one that hopefully more than just I can relate to.
