Montrose is a biography of James Graham (1612-1650), 1st Marquess of Montrose by Scottish author John Buchan. Called "The Great Montrose," Graham supported King Charles I in the English Civil War from 1644 to 1646 and again in 1650. John Buchan, 1st Baron Tweedsmuir (1875-1940) was a Scottish novelist probably best known for The Thirty-Nine Steps and a Unionist politician who served as Governor General of Canada.
