Both clutches come ready to bolt on and use as the primary comes with weights and spring already installed and the secondary has the helix and spring pre-installed. Both clutches are stock style but have had critical improvements made to the weak areas; more detail on that below. PRIMARY CLUTCH IMPROVEMENTS: This clutch was made using the stronger Maverick X3 parts but then modified to make it bolt up and work on models listed! What you have now is a ready-to-bolt and use primary clutch rated for more than double the HP of the original Defender HD9 &HD10 clutch! Some upgraded parts include that it has the reinforced towers with the steel plated slides to prevent button wear on the aluminum housing. It also has the stronger X3 style top cover ( aka Governor cup assembly). The great news is even though it's a lot tougher than the original Defender clutches we have it pre-tuned for the Defender HD10 ( and 2021-2023 HD9). It comes ready to bolt on and use! This upgrade also lets the engine rev up a little higher to areas that unlock more of your mid range - full throttle torque and power. The mid throttle rpm's are approximately 400 rpms higher while full throttle, this clutch is tuned 600-800 rpms higher than stock until you exceed 55 mph. Once you exceed 55 mph, the top end is the same as the OEM primary which was 7200-7500 rpms. SECONDARY IMPROVEMENTS: The rollers are a weak point on the stock secondary clutches so instead of stock rollers this comes with our upgraded HD rollers already in it! Comes fully assembled with new with the helix and spring and heavy-duty rollers already in it. This clutch is 100% complete and ready to bolt on and use!
