Motion Sensor Outdoor Wall Lights Installation Steps:

Attach the mounting plate to the outlet box using two mounting screws (c).

Pull out the wires and grounding wire from the outlet box. Make wire connections using the wire nuts 

as follows:

Connect the hot wire (usually black insulation) from the outdoor lights for the porch to the black wire from the power source.

Connect the neutral wire (usually white insulation) from the outdoor garage lights to the white wire from the power source.

Attach the exterior lights for the house grounding wire (usually green insulation or bare wire) to the mounting strap with the green grounding screw, then connect it to the house grounding wire using a wire nut.

Carefully place the wires back into the outlet box.

Attach the backplate to the mounting plate and secure it with 4 nuts (D).

Turn on the power at the fuse or circuit box.

CAUTION:

Motion Sensor Porch Lights Outdoor Apply silicone caulking compound completely around where the backplate meets the wall surface to prevent water from seeping into the outlet box.
