This kit includes a multi-part, rugged metal camera housing that allows you to relocate your factory JL rear back up camera from its' factory position on the spare tire carrier to a lower & tighter location on the Tailgate Accessory Mount. We have even adjusted & tested the angle of camera to ensure the guide lines on the dash screen are still aimed in the correct orientation & pitch while in reverse. Sometimes it's those little details that separate an average product from a superior product. Many people remove the spare tire, either for weight savings, additional views out the rear window or to provide extra departure angle clearance when off-roading. This JL Camera Mount will still allow you to use your rear back up camera while having the factory spare tire carrier removed.
