This is the second story from my collection in Mr. Grumpy's Garden Friends. This story is all about everyone's favorite garden friend, Charlie the scarecrow. Standing in the frozen, snow-covered garden, he sees a beautiful tree inside the farmer's home, lots of people coming in with pretty packages and the kids are exceptionally giddy. He can't understand why there is so much hustle and bustle around. Until one cold night, Champ, the old faithful dog and Princess, his sidekick cat, tell Charlie about the reason for the celebration. Charlie wishes he could feel that peace as well. Diana, the dove, hears Charlie's wish. Deciding to take matters into her own hands she includes the farm animals, woodland creatures and the garden insects to make this the most special Christmas ever for their dear friend. This is the story of the very first Christmas, garden style!
