The young woman’s murder was not supposed to matter anymore—filed away, forgotten. But the moment Dusty Kent sees the girl’s face, she knows this case was never truly cold. Renowned for resurrecting the dead stories no one else can solve, Dusty has built her career—and her reputation—on turning silence into justice. But this time, the deeper she digs into the murder dismissed as just another statistic, the more the past resists her. Witnesses keep their secrets. Evidence vanishes. Small town jealousies trigger spite. And someone, somewhere, is watching her get closer. For the first time in her flawless career, Dusty isn’t just chasing a killer—she’s fighting to prove she hasn’t lost her edge. Because if she can’t uncover the truth, the story dies again… and so does the legend of the woman who never let a cold case stay buried. And this killer? He’s waiting for her. This book was awarded 5 stars by 'Readers' Favorite: Book Reviews and Award Contest'. Murder in Murloo (Dusty Kent Mysteries Book 1) by Brigid George was a delightful read... It was also one of those books that makes you turn the pages, wanting to know what is going to happen next and I read it in one sitting, unable to put it down. I can only describe the story as enthralling and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next one. Anne-Marie Reynolds, Readers' Favorite: Book Reviews and Award Contest Murder in Murloo is the first book in the Dusty Kent murder mystery series. The book is set in East Gippsland (Victoria, Australia) where I grew up. I was blessed with a wonderful childhood in this area which gave me clean country air, wild bush to roam in, a sense of community, great school teachers and quirky characters. Other books in the Dusty Kent series: A Devious Mind, Rippling Red , Disguising Demons and Tooting Moon. Murder in Murloo is a classic who-dun-it introducing Dusty Kent written by JB Rowley and published under the pseudonym Brigid George. This is a work of fiction. Names, characters and incidents are either the product of the author's imagination or are used fictitiously, and any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or to actual events or locales is entirely coincidental. (Although the character of Giuseppe is inspired by someone the author remembers with affection, the character is purely fictional.) Brigid George is the pen name for JB Rowley. JB grew up in a small Australian town called Orbost in the state of Victoria. She spent her childhood chasing snakes and lizards down hollow logs, playing Hansel and Gretel in the bush with her brothers, climbing trees, searching the local rubbish tip for books to read and generally behaving like a feral child. To avoid her boisterous brothers she often escaped into the hay shed with a book. Hours and hours of reading from an early age trained her for life as a writer. In primary school her teachers called her 'the one with the Enid Blyton touch'. Her love of reading murder mysteries as an adult has now evolved into a love of writing them. As a teenager she had short stories published in one of Australia's national magazines, New Idea. Since then she has won several awards for her stories which have also been published in anthologies. JB still lives in the state of Victoria but is now in the capital city of Melbourne where her life is fertile with friends. JB Rowley is the author of Amazon #1 best sellers Whisper My Secret and Mother of Ten and the (as yet incomplete) children's series Trapped in Gondwana.
