“My Life – You’re Soaking in It” is a memoir, an autobiography, covering 65 years in Australian Theatre, and Television. It covers a life from 1956 in the huge musical theatre firm J. C. Williamson, through large and small venues, television stations before the internet or Fox, into teaching, and administration in related organisations, and government subsidized companies around Australia, with sojourns overseas. It travels with Robina through some of the memorable (to her) events and remembers lots of the funny and amazing things in her long, very long theatrical career – the only career she has had, which has sustained her through those 65 years, and is still doing so. It remembers tours through country New South Wales and Queensland meeting the salt of the earth audiences who came to see ‘culture’ and also an epic tour in Canada in a revue which travelled across that scenically beautiful country for 6 months. It has been written chronologically, but can be read by choosing random chapters.
