PRECISE #6 SCREW FIT – FLUSH SURFACE FINISH: Each 1/2 x 3/16 inch (12 x 5 mm) N52 countersunk disc seats a standard #6 flat-head screw flush with the face – clean finish on wood, MDF, and 3D-printed parts 10 MATCHED NORTH-SOUTH PAIRS – NO STEEL PLATE NEEDED: Includes 10 N-pole and 10 S-pole magnets; screw one polarity into each side of a closure and they attract face-to-face – no steel striker required BUILT FOR CABINET LATCHES, BOX LIDS & 3D-PRINT CLOSURES: 3/16 inch thickness fits material as thin as 6 mm – ideal for hidden door catches, box closures, flip-top lids, and screw-mounted gaming accessories N52 GRADE – UP TO 9.65 LBS PULL FORCE: Highest commercially available rare earth grade; triple-layer Ni-Cu-Ni coating resists rust in workshop environments; axially magnetized through thickness SCREW IN, NOT GLUE IN – PERMANENT HOLD: Countersunk taper keeps the screw head at or below magnet face; 20-pack covers multiple latches, display panels, sign fixtures, or box closures in one order You drilled the pocket, grabbed a screw, and want the magnet to sit flat — no proud hardware, no adhesive creep. These 1/2 x 3/16 inch N52 countersunk disc magnets drive directly into wood, MDF, or a 3D-printed seat with a standard #6 flat-head screw, leaving the face flush with the surrounding surface.
The 3/16 inch (5 mm) thickness is the sweet spot for thin-wall work: deep enough for a solid screw bite, shallow enough to fit stock as thin as 6 mm without breaking through — useful for box lids, shaker cabinet doors, and printed enclosures where a 1/4 inch magnet would be too tall.
Each pack includes 10 north-pole and 10 south-pole magnets. Screw one polarity into the door, the opposite into the frame — they attract face-to-face with up to 9.65 lbs of force, no steel striker plate required. Works for wooden box clasps, flip-top storage lids, removable display panels, and screw-mounted gaming accessories such as dice trays or card holders.
Triple-layer nickel-copper-nickel plating resists corrosion through repeated open-close cycles in workshop conditions. Each magnet is about the size of a shirt button — small but noticeably dense. N52 is the highest commercially available rare earth grade at this size.
Set torque low when driving the screw — neodymium is brittle and over-tightening can crack the disc. Hand-tight or a low-torque driver setting is sufficient.
SAFETY: Strong pinching hazard. If swallowed, magnets can attract inside the body and cause serious internal injury — keep away from children. Keep away from pacemakers and sensitive electronic devices. Not suitable for children under 14.
