Iconic bright, bold artworks created by Matisse for his book 'Jazz'. A fine new art calendar from Flame Tree. In 1942 Matisse was commissioned to make a book of colour prints. Initially, he intended it to be about the circus, but decided to depict other subjects as well as his original theme. He selected Jazz as the title, to reflect the vibrancy and rhythm of the images. At a late stage, Matisse decided to write an accompanying text, consisting of loosely connected thoughts on painting, life and the making of the book. This beautiful art calendar brings together a selection of 12 of the bright and bold artworks, created using his distinctive paper-cutouts style, from this fabulous work held by National Galleries of Scotland . Informative text accompanies each work and the datepad features previous and next month’s views. Printed on FSC-certified paper, with plastic-free packaging. Designed and developed at Flame Tree Publishing, independent publisher and creator of fine, illustrated books, journals and art calendars. Orders are despatched from our UK warehouse next working day.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
