Amy is the founder of Nutrition in a Nutshell, LLC. She has a Master of Science in Health and Nutrition Education degree from Hawthorn University, California, and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies degree from George Mason University, Virginia. Amy has 30 years of experience as an ecologist, National Wildlife Refuge System conservation planner, and trainer working for the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Throughout her career, she also worked on family farms in Arizona, Kansas, Maine, Ohio, Scandinavia, Washington, and West Virginia. Amy has studied how the field of natural health has taken shape over the last century and draws on the sound principles of natural healing in writing about natural foods.
