No! No, nap! Zander doesn't want to take a nap. He wants to keep playing and doesn't understand why he can't. When he throws his toys in anger, Mom sends him to time-out. But then, a wonderful thing happens. A team of spiritual beings called guides appears to help Zander figure out his problem. With their gentle guidance, he discovers how taking a nap is good for him and how he can say, "I'm sorry," to Mom and Dad. Special Note to Parents Spirit guides may comprise angels, relatives, or even close friends who have departed. Everyone is assigned a spiritual team at birth. They guide us and help us solve problems. They are NOT ghosts and will NEVER do harm. Young children, with their natural curiosity and acceptance of the world around them, can often see their guides and departed loved ones, even those whom the children have never met on Earth. Pam recommends parents stay open, not be fearful, and encourage their children to talk about their experiences. Ask them questions. Many children, when asked, may describe who they see, give names, or even point to a picture. Remaining open allows them to share their experiences with you. It is normal for children to see and hear Spirit. Pam Sears has spent years studying and communicating with spirit guides. It's about the benefits of sleep for children. Zander is mad as he wants to keep playing, but his mother wants him to nap. He throws his toys, screams, and starts crying in frustration. It seems his parents are not allowed to get a time-out when they fight. Now he doesn't understand why he is the one who must be sorry. However, Zander falls asleep crying and starts dreaming. He sees some people and tells them about his frustration. Yet, they tell him a secret about how taking a nap helps him. They also tell him how to stop their parents from being mad at him. Children seem to do everything possible to avoid sleep, making parenting very difficult. You need this book if you're a parent who struggles to get your child to bed. No! No, Nap! by Pam Sears is a standout picture book to get your child to sleep. It has delightful illustrations and a story that will help kids see they're not the only ones who hate going to sleep, especially when it's daylight, they're told to, or there are so many more entertaining things to do. The author beautifully expresses the benefits of sleep every adult wants their children to know and embrace. The team of spiritual beings called guides that appear to help Zander have a better relationship with sleep impressed me. Sears advises parents to stay open-minded and encourage their children to share their experiences with them, especially those in which they see or hear a Spirit.
