Nomadin will surely strike a chord with fans of Tolkien and Robert Jordan. More Shawn Cormier!" - Nancy Holder, author of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Blood and Fog. "This novel casts a fresh spell for fans of the boy-wizard genre." - Kirkus Review Review from Book and Magazine Collector , England, December 2004, Issue No. 249 One 2 Watch - New Collectables: Nomadin by Shawn P. Cormier Have you ever wished you'd had the foresight to acquire a copy of the original self-published (Paolini International) version of Eragon before prices soared into orbit? Well, unfortunately, I cannot turn back time. However, I can recommend a book that certainly has the potential to emulate Eragon. Writer Cormier captures the essence of the genre to produce a zestful, fast paced work sure to please kids and parents alike. Comparable to Tolkien and C. S Lewis author Cormier is a fresh voice on the Middle Grades/Young Adult fantasy scene. Review from Molly Martin - AngelFire.com There is scarcely a moment to pause in the runaway pace of the narrative which will be a delight to young readers and lovers of fantasy alike. It is an exciting and very fast-moving tale in the tradition of rites of passage young adult fantasy fiction. Review from BookIdeas.com "Shawn Cormier is a wonderful new voice in fantasy. Nomadin will surely strike a chord with fans of Tolkien and Robert Jordan. More Shawn Cormier!" - Nancy Holder, author of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Blood and Fog. And now Ilien must run - from a monster of unimaginable cunning and power, toward a fate more frightening than that which hunts him. But he cannot run forever. Eventually he will have to make a stand. Sooner or later he will have to face what even the legendary Nomadin cannot . . . himself. Shawn Cormier was born in 1967 and grew up in the small town of Southbridge, Massachusetts. He has been scribbling down stories since the fifth grade, and earned his Creative Writing degree from Long Island University, Southampton Campus.
