Westview’s first student-created cookbook, Notes From Home, is an homage to the recipes that students have grown up eating. Students from across the campus submitted recipes that they use in their daily lives, sharing aspects of their culture and identity with the entire student body. With each recipe, the Folklore Club has paired it with a piece of folklore from that culture, paying mind to remnants of the cultural past while celebrating recipes used in the present. As such, this cookbook is a polarized collection of Westview’s vibrant and diverse student body. A collaborative effort from over thirteen clubs across campus, Notes From Home is a testament to fostering deeper cross-cultural connections. As a collaborative effort, we have brought our motherlands to your hands.
