Notes on the Evolution of Human Consciousness II 2024-2025 continues David Marshak's examination of current events on the planet employing the framework of adult consciousness stage development, first articulated by Jean Gebser and researched and articulated by Clare Graves, Don Beck and Christopher Cowan, Jane Loevinger, Suzanne Cook-Greuter, Robert Kegan, Jenny Wade, and others. Marshak's thesis is that despite the negativity and reactionary quality of so many phenomena during these twelve months, there is still an underlying current of the evolution of human consciousness transpiring among many on the Earth. His effort in this collection of weekly essays is to cut through the fog and grief of the apparent reactionary victories and identify and describe the positive unfoldments while at times also describing the deficient qualities of each of the first tier stages operating on the stage of human events: fundamentalism, modernism, and affiliative postmodernism. Marshak also delineates the ways in which integral consciousness is manifesting more and more widely.
