In 1911 and 1912 a wave of Axe Murders terrorized the Midwest. Although suspects were hunted down for the most part few were ever convicted for the crimes. From Portland,Oregon to Villisca, Iowa Axe Murderers were thought to ride the rails leaving unsolved murders in their wake.
