This book is about the ancestors and descendants of James Joyce and Mary Epperson. James Joyce was the grandson of Alexander Joyce from County Down, Northern Ireland. He was born in Virginia, moved to Georgia with his father, and settled and raised a family in what is now Marshall County, Tennessee. He served his country as a soldier under Andrew Jackson in the War of 1812. His children and grandchildren moved westward and have helped with the taming of the our country.
