With the help of a beautiful colleague, whom he falls in love with, he flees from the unknown only to end up confronting it head on.The original screenplay is also contained in the book, following the novella. The screenplay Origins, on which this novella is based was pitched as “a strange, mystery-driven story with a feel somewhere between Close Encounters and the Bourne Identity.” Niko Zinovii hails from Connecticut, where he studied human evolution,genetics, and archaeology. Later in life, in California, after writing a number of screenplays, Niko earned his MA in Economics to betterunderstand man and politics. His great interest lies in science, hispassion in political, economic, and philosophical ideology, yet he finds himself, at times, an artist at heart, a writer.
