Our Christmas Tree is a love story on several levels. The greatest level of love is Jesus's everlasting love for mankind symbolized by the nature of the evergreen tree. Over time, the Christmas tree has come to symbolize Christmas itself. My children and I love arts and crafts projects and this book is all about making Christmas ornaments. Every year at Christmas time we make an ornament to hang on the tree. Needless to say we love big trees. Continuing the love theme, we love the Christmas season because it brings joy to our hearts, and we have found that making ornaments together enhances that joy as we prepare for the Nativity. I have a Bachelor's Degree in English from Catholic University in Washington DC and a Master's Degree in Education from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. I taught grade 6 at St. Francis Xavier School in Birmingham for 22 years before retiring. Writing poetry and painting with water colors occupy much of my time now. I also enjoy my family and friends.
